Times when I stepped out of my comfort zone

TIMES WHEN I STEPPED OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE

There were a few times I had to step out of my comfort zone, and honestly, two moments really stuck with me. The first one was when I had to present in front of the whole class. I was super nervous. I could literally feel my hands shaking. But once I started talking, it wasn’t as bad as I thought, and by the end, I actually felt kind of proud.

The second time was when I joined an activity where I didn’t know anyone at all. At first, I felt so awkward, like I was just standing there not knowing what to do. But after I pushed myself to join in, I started to enjoy it, and I even made a couple of new friends.

When I look back, I realize both times followed the same pattern, at the start I was overthinking, imagining the worst-case scenario. But once I actually did the thing, it turned out way better than I expected. That makes me think maybe it’s not the situation that’s so scary,  it’s my own thoughts before doing it.

So now I see stepping out of my comfort zone like this, it’s always scary at first, but if I just take the first step, things usually get easier. And even if it doesn’t go perfectly, at least I’ll learn something. In the end, those moments remind me that I’m stronger and braver than I give myself credit for.
